This was one of the complex design I ever made. It gave me opportunity to try on botanical illustrations. So the client was a young lady from Chile, I talked to her for couple of weeks and started sketching out options and out of everything I made this came out.
While I was doing my research, I came across Calavera (Mexico's skull art) which symbolizes the mortality of human being. To have a heart while you are still alive.
On the left it is the sketch version that I finalised and on the right it is digitised version on procreate.
On left - This was one of the quick sketches I did, On Right - She got it tattooed. I concur to the thought that its not a great design but she liked it and got it tattooed, So can't be helped.
On Right - One of my favourite quote ever, On Left - The Italian Student who got it tattooed.
